# Privacy policy

This policy describes the data the game and website handle, who can see it and how to delete it.

## Saves in your browser

Game progress is stored in your browser's IndexedDB. It never leaves your device unless you sign in and choose to sync. Clearing site data in your browser deletes it.

## Accounts and cloud saves

If you create an account we store your email address, display name, a password hash or the identifier returned by Google or GitHub, session records and the save files you sync. Data is stored in Cloudflare D1. Deleting your account removes all of it.

## Sign-in providers and email

Google and GitHub sign-in are optional. When used, the provider shares your basic profile with us according to its own policy. Password-reset and verification emails, when enabled, are sent through Resend.

## Google sign-in data

When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account id, as shown on Google's consent screen. We use them only to create and recognise your account, to show who is signed in and to attach your cloud saves to you. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising or share it with anyone other than the infrastructure provider that hosts the service (Cloudflare).

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The same applies to the basic profile GitHub shares when you sign in with GitHub.

## Analytics and cookies

The site itself sets a session cookie only after you sign in and keeps a theme preference in local storage. Game saves live in your browser until you choose to sync them.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site and the game are used: page views, approximate region, device type, and anonymised interaction recordings and heatmaps. Both services set their own cookies. Google's practices are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Microsoft's at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Public content pages may show advertising served by Google AdSense or Adsterra, which keeps the game free. These networks and their partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites and to measure them. Ads load inside isolated frames that cannot read your account, your saves or the page. You can opt out of personalised advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads, https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu. The game screen and account pages carry no ads.

## Children

The game can be played without an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Accounts are for players aged 13 or older, or the higher minimum age that applies where you live; younger players can still play without one.

## Your rights and contact

You can delete individual cloud saves, or your whole account together with every cloud save and session, at any time from the cloud saves page. For access, correction or any other request, write to hello@dressmakergame.art.
